The Pel Brolenon Woodlands were once part of the great forest, which stretched all the way from the Forest of the Sahl in the south to the Archenbough. Beneath the thick canopy of those great trees, which stretch upward toward the sky like sun worshippers, dwell the ancient woodland spirits who haunt the woods. Indeed, some say the heart of the great forest still beats deep within the Pel Brolenon, citing the thriving dryads and other fey there, as well as its tendency for sudden and wild growth as evidence. The Woodlands are defended by their residents, who can be viciously territorial at times, though many years ago the armies of Tachros cut a road through them. Whatever compact the cities by the sea once had with the creatures who dwell within the Pel Brolenon seems to have ended during the war however, as no one has returned from there in at least a month, and the traders of Satu Mare are beginning to worry.
