I had to run off yesterday, so here's a proper ending to the session.

We see a shot of Gene as he flares with alien power. As he springs into motion, time slows, and we hear the strains of Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun, his face cast in reddish light from the glow of his blade. The radiance intensifies as he slays the Yuan-ti sorcerer, and our camera speeds up as he moves to the second, covering the ground in a flash before slicing the warrior in two. 

As the serpentine warrior's upper half tumbles to the ground behind him, Gene is exposed to everyone as a man no longer a paladin, but something different and greater, a harbinger of alien light. 

We cut to black as the chorus hits.
