Rin and Giacomo find themselves in a spooky dungeon.  It appears to be a temple dedicated to Sarek, but it's full of burnt bodies, hellhounds, and Desmond seared to the altar.

As they explore the rooms, they notice that all the objects around them are thrumming with some kind of energy.  Everything but Rin and Giacomo thrums, and they learn that it is because they are foreign objects.  Rin discerns that we are inside a creature, specifically in its maw.

Ake and Ren find themselves in a scorched field.  A black bell soldier appears and warns them to get away.  He is brutally murdered by a terrible masked warrior.  Ake instinctively puts out his hand and a vial appears -- Ren grabs it and drinks it, takes delicious banana-flavoured damage.  They flee and seek cover.  The assailant appears to have lost them and disappears.  A mysterious tiefling seems to be sharing their hiding spot.  

Ake (summons a hawk?) and..

Dorian awakens in the spooky temple just as Desmond senses that something is approaching.  Dark tentacles appear from the floor and begin to marionette the statues that are placed around the edge of the room.  Giacomo attempts to blast the tentacles, but fails.

The masked figure appears and attacks Ake and Ren.  Ren attacks with her axe and Ake reacts by casting an agonizing blast against the figure

Back in the temple, more creepy tendrils appear to animate additional statues.  A giant elf statue attempts to axe Giacomo, but misses. Rin attempts to cast Ice Knife against the statue that is attacking Dorian, but also casts a spell that causes her to begin emitting silvery light, blinding those close to her.

Dorian flees the statue that is attacking him and Giacomo fends off his attacker with his sword (now a spinal column).

Ren is hit by an axe.

Ake now feels natural in conjuring his bow and fires an icy arrow into the heart of this creature. 

The gnoll is manipulated by tentacles and attacks Dorian.

A spellcaster is conjuring a spell. Rinn attempts to fight the spellcaster and mostly fails.

Ake takes 14 points of damage from an axe.

The monster does not seem to experience pain. Its limbs are only sometimes there. 

Ren smacks the creature with her axe and it falls forward into the ash of the barn.

Rinn is glowing.

Dorian is felled by an attack by the spellcaster, going unconscious.

Giacomo comes to his aid, teleporting over and stablizing Dorian. He's given anti-firebolt mouth to mouth.

Rinn sees this all happening, buzzing with power. They are in full control of their faculties, and sees that their friends are in imminent danger. A blaze of silvery flame explodes outward and incinerates the statues. The room, after the dust is settled, merely has Rinn, still aglow, standing in the room.

Dorian gets up and merely sees Rinn standing and hears silence.

After this, Giacomo, Dorian, and Rinn talk about what's transpired. Rinn explains the current situation and points at the charred chapel.

Desmond turns and addresses the group, confirming again where they're at. The other mercenaries begin shambling around.

The figures begin to assemble and sit in the pews of the chapel.

Giacomo, Dorian, and Rinn rest - afterwards, Dorian begins investigating the chapel.

The pulse of the creature permeates the room as Dorian looks around. He doesn't find anything of interest.

Desmond recalls something about a door being around, but can't place it. They agree that they wish to move onward.

Before moving forward, Desmond asks, "What will become of us?"

Dorian responds that he isn't concerned with what happens with the Black Bell mercenaries. 

Their spirits need to move onward for things to progress, whether by dying again or by being set free.

Ren takes the killer's axe after having a conversation with the barbarian.

She tries to smite the barbarian, but it doesn't work. There always must be a killer.

Ake beckons his familiar to find the fleeing bard, and does. Ren feels the immense magic within the axe, and struggles with what it means. She follows Ake and he goes to a farmhouse basement. Other members of the Black Bell await.

He puts an arrow in one of the party as he and Ren struggle to find a solution to moving forward. Ren considers killing as well, but resists, realizing that this is merely the creature's beckoning.

After dropping the axe after feeling its power, Ren stops to think about another solution.

She wrests the axe from Ake and tries to destroy it. After faltering briefly, her and Ake successfully destroy the axe.

Giacomo, Dorian, and Ake see themselves in a cemetery, with a couple of bodies being delivered in state.

Ren is confronted by Simon in the hold of a ship. Comfortable.

Rinn is in a library and Simon is also there. He chats with Rinn about the particular circumstances. Simon delivers answers in conjunction with Ren's questions, which elicit the same response.

Back at the cemetery, Dorian turns around to find Jon Sorrow and his sister, with her fiery red hair flowing in the wind.
