An Unwelcome Malady
My entry shall be quick today... I fear I will make myself sick again if I focus too long on any task.
Some unknown, vile affliction has descended upon my being. Curses on the person who infected me with their parasites! If I was to punish such a person I would sentence them and their family to be slowly devoured by vicious, slathering beasts! Even that is too light a sentence...
I clenched my teeth and bore this hardship as long as I was able, yet I made my excuses and disappeared when I my stomach gave a violent lurch and threatened to empty itself. My shadow, Ildan, followed though, even he too, was feeling ill from the drinks of last evening. I quickly realized my long white locks of hair threatened to become a target of my illness, so I argued with Ildan to move my hair out of harm's way (though he determinedly wanted nothing to do with the affair). If I had been not distracted, I should have known that the unwavering curiosity of our party would promptly lead them to us. Thus, they immediately came upon the scene as I was forcefully sick upon the ground and Ildan was indignantly holding back my tresses . I yelled something incoherent at them and they all speedily looked away, though not before some of them grinned or snorted with laughter.
I felt much better after, and was even able to stomach witnessing all the hacked body-parts of some other unfortunate caravan we encountered on our journey. Better them than us I said, which elicited a peculiar look on Vani. She is oddly sensitive sometimes.
I think I am almost myself again. However, if one of them looks at me with as much as a smirk, they shall be greeted with a kiss of sacred flame.
