Ren, the pseudonym for Renata de Lerem, is a mercenary warrior currently employed by the clandestine adventuring organization "Just The T.I.P.," currently based at Shoreline Manor on the outskirts of Malkara.

Description
Ren is a half-orc currently in her physical prime. She stands 6' 7" and weighs approximately 220 lbs., with a finely tuned musculature attained from long days working as a ship hand. She has steely blue skin and cobalt blue hair that she wears as a ponytail, which is occasionally adorned with feathers. Her eyes are golden, and she has several Rilador tattoos sleeving her arms, including a red blood wyvern on her left wrist and a black-tipped chickadee on her right triceps. A scored number "413" is visible on her right wrist.

Ren is clothed with a jute bodice enlaced with a jute trawling net ornamented as a shawl. The net carries a massive iron anchor that she wears across her back, with its shank wrapped in jute cloth for holding as an improvised greataxe. She wears a sealskin leather gauntlet on her left hand with matching sealskin boots that extend to her knees. A wrapped sealskin belt that extends from her hips holds clasped pouches for rations and other materials.

Ren has refined facial features, with a cleft chin and sharp cheekbones that betray her Orcish heritage. Her ears are large and symmetrical, pointed in an elvish fashion. She has broad shoulders and is physically toned in a similar manner to other teenaged half-orcs. She stands straight and confidently, with a convincing and strong gait.

As a Paladin, Ren exudes an unmistakable aura that identifies her as a sacred avenger. She emits an opalescent shimmer, like moonlight flickering on a gently rolling sea.  

Personality
    As a former Rilador pirate, Ren has been conditioned to be a loyal member of a crew, where the prosperity of each individual is utterly tied to the success of the ship as a whole. She values the importance of hierarchy and obeying orders, insofar as they advance the goals of the collective group and don't sacrifice individual desires. She is brash and stubborn with deep personal convictions, preferring swift and decisive resolutions to disputes over diplomatic tidings.

She is widely known as being impulsive, particularly when it comes to being opportunistic towards physical confrontation. A conversation need not begin and end with language, and may just as well involve fisticuffs and other physical means. She is also superstitious as befitting a pirate, taking solace and warning in astrological omens and Old Wives' Tales as readily as more conventional wisdom.

She despises enslavement and any impairments placed upon a person's personal liberty. Laws, tithes, tariffs, and other societal implements meant to control people's actions are anathema to her, and she will blatantly disregard and break laws to help others, if she's knowledgeable about those norms in the first place.

As a member of Just The T.I.P, Ren became alienated in a land away from the sea. She grew more distant and uncertain regarding her own personal motives, and became more attached to the motivations of other people. As a result, her moral calculus shifted from protecting anyone whose personal liberty was in jeopardy to protecting those whose personal liberty was in jeopardy that her group deemed valuable. For this reason, she has begun to willfully sacrifice her personal liberty for the sake of others within her party.

Recent events have continued to shape Ren's conviction to disruption. Pacts with the demon Simon and, more recently, the demon Hansur have honed Ren's destructive tendencies into a precise instrument. Rather than considering the benefits that swift, decisive actions have to protect others, her focus has shifted to slaying evil threats to the world as part of an unquenchable thirst for battle. Her Oath of Vengeance decrees this; for her service, Hansur presented a wondrous boon - a magical belt of Frost Giant Strength in a world unraveled from magic.
