Hired by the Johnsons to stop imps messing up their fields. The imps had been previously hired by the Johnsons. There appears to have been some sort of labor dispute. The imps were hauling stones from a local quarry and dropping them in the Johnsons' field in the shape of a giant male reproductive organ. The TIP stopped the imps but were unable to move the huge stones. The Johnsons have since started marketing the huge member as the tourist attraction, Donghenge.
Hired by the Wylldfred family to investigate strange holes appearing in their crop field. The holes turned out to be inhabited by an ankheg. The TIP slew the ankheg and its larvae, as well as some random giant tick-like creature that had also been living in the same burrow.
Hired by Iskandar, a minotaur illusionist, to retrieve magical landmines that he presumed defunct since the Unraveling. The TIP traveled several days northwest of Therengard to reach the site of the minefield, a blasted village surrounded by superstition. In retrieving the mines, the TIP disturbed several small elementals: one air, one fire, one earth. Once those were defeated, a larger omni-elemental emerged. It too was vanquished and the TIP finished collecting the mines and beat a hasty retreat. Upon returning to Therengard, Iskandar informed the TIP that he would have to defer paying us until after he had sold the mines. (Seems he lost most of the money playing wizard poker.) Naturally, the TIP was not ok with this change in the arrangement. Iskandar offered to compensate the TIP with the deed to a manor located two hours travel outside of Malkara. The TIP countered they would consider the offer, provided Iskandar traveled with us to the manor and spent the night in it.
Hired by Keith Keithsson, a well-dressed but somewhat absent-minded sorcerer, to escort him on a two-week journey to the north. UPDATE: Cancelled due to the fact that Keith is now a frog. (Why does anyone play wizard poker?)
Hired by Stuart, a farmer being hassled by the Comonna Tong for "protection money", to escort his daughter, Elaine, to stay with family in Malkara to get her out of harm's way. After disguising the girl, the TIP began traveling. Unbeknownst to the rest of the party, Vani saved them from an encounter with a party of Cammona Tong hobgoblins. She changed the thieves cant they had marked on the door to the inn to indicate a party of merchants, rather than the TIP. Consequently, the merchants were slaughtered. The TIP stopped to give them a proper burial. The TIP delivered Elaine safely to her uncle, Farro Greentower, a prominent businessman in Malkara.
Hired by Reg Lamora to retrieve the various parts of a huge steel golem from Gurzigost Tower, a ranger outpost. There were signs of recent slaver activity around the tower. Retrieved the golem with only minor incident: Narcel'Uss tripped a magic mine. She emerged without lasting damage. Vani found a box that appeared to fit in an opening inside the golem. She listened to the box and heard something that scared her. She then had J, who was in her bear form, smash the box. It released a whisper on the wind that everyone heard. See adventure log Game The Sixth for more details.
