Gene, Muse and Tyrtaeus were happily conversing with Macro and Isabel, the witch hunters, when Jade Empire Forbidden Fantasies, previous acquaintance of Tyrtaeus, unwilling recipient of Eugene's kindness and famous bard, joined the group for a round of drinks. During the exchange, Tyrtaeus inadvertently shot a hole in the bar's ceiling with Marco's weapon. Luckily no-one was injured. Muse who stepped away for a little while was tasked by Carlos to go investigate a wolf problem in the town of Langley; a few days north of Malkara.

Eugene offers to take Muse and Tyrtaeus, as well as any other passengers who might want to join. JEFF, seemingly in a hurry to get out of town, decides to add his caravan the party, noting that he had previously toured in Langley and was known by the locals. The group is also joined the next day by Archibald, an older gentleman who responded to Eugene's posting and agreed to pay 5 silver/day for the ride. A discount rate once one considered the usual 3 copper/mile bus rates applicable in the region.

The journey out of town is somewhat uneventful, barring a quick inspection at the North gate by the city militia who appeared to be looking for a specific traveler. However; on the second day, the group is attacked by bandits. Due to a misunderstanding, Eugene, Tyrtaeus and JEFF accidentally orphaned a halfling child, but this was quickly repaired as Eugene revived the ogre, patched him up, and kidnapped the pair to convince them to choose a more rewarding career path. Muse, who stepped out to look for bugs, was almost forgotten.

The caravan split up once arrived in Langley, only to be reunited in the main (and only) pub several hours later. Inquiries about wolves followed and the troup headed to the house of the Knight of the Enville to learn more about a curious disappearance that took place in a farm nearby. Since they had several hours to kill before the upcoming performance of Jade Empire Forbidden Fantasies at the local pub, the group sets up to investigate.
