After reaching south Westworth, we learned that Heidi and Stewart were traveling to town to get help from Alonzo Marquez. Their mother is sick with a fever and they came for help.

Meli, Olive and Tyrtaeus headed out with Heidi and Stewart to heal their mother. Traveling in their smaller caravan they avoid the leress, although there was a small incident when Tyrtaeus used his shocksichord to "fix" Stewart up after his scare of nearly being eaten.

Meanwhile, Muse stayed behind with the rest of the caravan in South Westworth and talked to Alonzo Marquez about trying to wipe out the leress in the area. Muse is tempted to either hunt down some leress on her own, or burn down the forest to destroy them. Marquez manages to convince her this would be a bad plan.

After two days travel, the caravan reaches Egan's fall, where Heidi rushes Meli and Olive into the house where they go up to her mother, Martha's, room where Meli heals her and Olive attempts to assist, but mostly just flails around with herbs.

The group spends the night in Egan's Fall,hosted by Heidi and Stewart's father David. While there, Meli does some business, selling some beer to the locals, Olive does some business as well as Tyrtaeus heads over to Peter Delaney's house to check out his great grandfather's sword. Tyrtaeus uses his unearthly power to activate his sword which remembers its past for a moment and bursts into burning flames, rushing up Tyrtaeus' arms, leaving him burned. This was a powerful weapon.

Peter quickly sends him son Bryan out to retrieve Meli and Olive who rush over to help.
Olive and Meli see Tyrtaeus blackened and cracking with ash and char. Olive begins to ask what happened, Tyrtaeus starts to cast a spell to stop Peter from telling them what happened but Meli insists if he does she won't heal him. Tyrtaeus reluctantly lets Peter tell the tale.

Meli heals Tyrtaeus and she and Olive begin to get suspicious of Tyrtaeus and his bleeding on the sword and also the shocksichord. Returning to David's home Meli decides to try out the shocksichord herself which does not work.  Tyrtaeus tries to explain that it will only work for him but not in any bad way... After a considerable amount of bullshit both Olive and Meli decide to bring this strangeness up again with Gene and Muse.

Tyrtaeus ends this adventure with a new brand on the palm of his hand, it is a chalice and came from the sword, although there was no chalice image on the sword itself.

They headed back to South Westworth the next morning.

Meanwhile, Back in South Westworth Muse is helping Marquez build a new fence to contain livestock in the area. As well Muse spends time with Crispen, learning about the TSR, and his journey into the wilderness to help protect the region.

After an uneventful trip back, the group meets up again. Muse comes up excited that she has not burned anything down and rejoins the group. She starts suggesting they hunt the leress -

"We are not the "Hunters of Individual leress Team", that is not what HILT stands for. Meli says.
Marquez laughs, figuring out it is an acronym and asks what it does stand for. "Hopeful interventions, likely turbulent." Is Meli's reply.

They go to Marquez's house for some beer and discuss some things, including his brother, the Inquisitor. His name is Lorenzo and the two of them were scouts during the war with the scything crag. The ranged far into crag territory but there they had dangerous and dark experiences. Alonzo found light in this darkness, but Lorenzo left pieces of himself behind. Lorenzo became an inquisitor because he has nothing left to loose. Alonzo tells them of the faces - those of four necromancers who had been working with the crag.

At the end of the night he ask what it will take to get them to stay until the winter. Meli is down with the plan but they will still need to discuss with others.
