Scratch was visiting Gerald the Mystic when the demons and devils escaped.  Scratch is trapped in the sub-basement, but relatively safe engaging in the sorting of piles of stuff.

Scratch is interrupted by the rest of the party falling out of the sky onto her neatly organized piles. 

After brief introductions, the group bursts into action working out a path to escape. Muse creeps into the darkness, Mellie investigates the lay of the land, tyrtaeus ignores all danger and roots through the piles of stuff, Geff fall catatonic and Olive wishes she were so she didn't have to process the magical landscape.

Mellie find a plant. It might be magic.

Muse discovers the basement is a sphere.

Mellie magically grows the bean stalk into a giant stalk. Gene Olive and Muse climb the stalk while tyrtaeus finds a portable fortress.

Above the top of the stalk is a ceiling. With a bit more magical encouragement the beanstalk bursts through the ceiling and the party climbs it. 

They enter an art gallery of mostly non-representational art.

Then a desert and then some snake people appeared. Olive, Muse, and Tyrtaeus worked together and killed one.

Then Gene rolled two crits and totally killed the other two doing 171 damage in a round.
