Breg came back to town carrying the dead body of Billy Braid, one of the quarters' favourite adventurer, retelling the story of Billy's heroic demise at the hands feet paws maws feet of bus-sized spiders to save some members of their party. The town, shocked and grieved, decides to host a public funeral to commemorate Billy and console his mourning sister and her wife.
Mike was nowhere to be found, probably running around for M'Toya. Mantike had once more disappeared, as she usually did. And Kiir was likely busy in the kitchen preparing fares for the wake.
The rest of the party mingled, organized, commiserated, and mourned with the rest of the town. During the wake, Rasmus, Sacha, and Bidi stumbled upon Breg who eventually let on that Billy may not have quite jumped in front of the spiders, as much as been jumped on by spiders.
Rennie made the acquaintance of Maureen "Treasure", Adric's sister-in-law before being rescued by Bidisha. Sacha was managing the cadre of volunteers for the event and Rasmus was busy talking shop with other adventurers.
As the conversation turned back to tax season, the group realized that some of them were still a bit short on cash. Indeed, Rennie now had four apprentices to take care of, while Sacha recent adventures left Kirk in charge of the shop one too many times, leading to several dubious business decisions any of which had yet to turn into the promised profits. Bidisha's financial situation was still unclear but extra cash could not hurt.
A scheme was hatched to try and collect some of the toxic mold found in the tunnels and flip it into something useful and non-toxic to sell to the wealthy people of Takros, as this seemed like the fastest way to ensure all businesses and shops would be able to stay open after the levy.
The next day, the group of four headed down to the tunnels and through high acrobatics that would make Olympic gymnasts green with envy, we eventually landed in the bottom of the well, into a dubious pond full of dead bodies. After a brief discussion, it was decided to leave the dead bodies behind, head into one of the humanoid-sized burrows and we eventually stumbled onto one of the streets of the old Takros.
From there, we started our exploring by checking the old Kalashtari temple and in the dark, we heard a voice.
