Okay, the hunter lady with the big sword that we sneaked into the city was in Rennie’s shop when we got back. I was wondering where she and that other hunter guy went. I didn’t know they knew where Rennie’s store was.

The guys that work for Rennie were trying to heal the lady but it wasn’t working really well. They were trying to burn her skin closed. I don’t think they even tried to wash it first cause it looked really gross. She had been stabbed or shot or burned or something. Maybe all of those! She said there were a lot of bad people taking animals like Jellybean (the harpy) from their homes and putting them in cages and keeping them in a warehouse in the city near where the people who do smelly things with animal skins are. I don’t go there much. It smells.

So we went to the warehouse and the hunter lady was right. There were lots of magic animals in cages. They ate people. I saw a lion with wings and he talked to me. I called him Cinnamon but I didn’t tell him that. Also he wasn’t very helpful cause he just wants to eat people. There was also a big piece of snot and a big cat with many tails that wasn't all there and a thing in a box that sounded like a chicken. I don’t know why they’d think a chicken should be in a cage and then in a box cause I’ve seen lots of people kill chickens and they aren’t dangerous. It must be a special magic chicken.

We fought the bad people and M’aiq did some really big fancy magic that killed a lot of people.

One of the bad guys ran out and he tried to give me money so I’d stop chasing him and let him go. I said “I’m listening” then Rennie shot him in the head with her crossbow!!! That was so cool. He had a lot of money on him. We’re talking three platinum pieces! I kept two for myself and I gave one to Rennie cause she got that guy real good. Well she killed him and I owe her for getting me out of jail.

After the fight M’aiq went to get his teacher so she could tell us what to do with the animals. But he didn’t get to her cause he saw the Watch coming up the road to the warehouse so he came back to tell us. We had to leave really fast. I was kinda sad we left the animals but also glad cause I don’t know what to do with magic animals.

And old magic water man got a baby dragon! It’s grey and looks really cute. I wonder what he’s gonna call it. I hope he’ll let me pet it.
