Ren
The impoverished Paladin of Serik Claire arrives in the cursed city of Malkara. She is pursuing a lead for her hunt of the Dama de Ferro, a monstrous creature terrorizing the rural areas of Temir.
I’ve done it! After all of these dark years, I’ve finally made a breakthrough, and moreover, the thing was right in front of my nose. Redemption is within my reach yet! I should’ve suspected that more clues would be around Malkara - after all, it’s where I met her to begin with.

I still remember that day fondly - the others in the armoury gossiping around that some adventurers would be contracted out by Lord Vincent to seek adventure and treasure. What a glamorous arrangement! I…
Ren sees the true impact of her actions await her in a derelict prison on a cliffside, and she finally sees what she can no longer be.
It wasn’t meant to be like this. She was innocent, and even if she wasn’t, I was supposed to be able to protect her. I had the power to do so, but the way she looked at me in the prison was all too familiar to me. I gave her the soothing calm of absolute stillness, but her calling was not like mine. She was meant to inspire and to impose justice. I am meant to destroy.

A little dwarf girl grows in a town rife with foul corruption. She is handled like meat and passed from crime…
Ren flexes her newfound powers against a chosen of Nurzhan, a God in a pantheon that our hero has abandoned.
The city was in chaos - beautiful, blissful chaos - by the time we reached the estate. House del Dega was under attack, and by the plumes of smoke billowing around, it seemed like the siege was still fresh. An excellent time to arrive.
We were sucked into the moment by Claire, who was shiny in a suit of armour. What a time to be alive! This young one might yet have the chance to see some combat. We asked about the logistics of this particular scenario - seems like house Pyriceeni has brought…
The days were short and cold, with the winds clutching hard on us as we departed that dark place. We had been changed by the experience, that much was certain. Wounds, welts, and other abrasions littered our bodies and glistened against the white landscape around. But there were scars that ran deeper, and now I could see them all.
Hansur brought me this power, but I do not know what cost I will yet pay for this gift. I’ve found myself getting annoyed with the other members of the TIP, but…
A form emerged from the swirling black - an embodiment of evil. J’s haste did the trick and summoned a manifestation that had contained us for the past… where had time gone? Did we rest during this journey? Maybe on the ship? But the ship wasn’t real; in fact, none of this was. I gripped my hands and tested my strength for a brief moment too - was the encounter in Hansur part of this illusion? No. Raw power coursed through my veins - the oath remained intact.
A menacing roar shook the…
The ship creaked in the right way. I found myself in the mess hall of a forgotten memory. A figure was seated before me. Blood dripped on dry planks as I found my feet once again. I was so tired, but the sea never leaves your feet. I slumped down in a chair opposite the figure, and looked over the table.
The demon Simon gave me some water. From the cup his green eyes glowed a baleful tone, but he was welcome company. Better than a Black Bell executioner, or another horror within the belly of…
Ren braces the cold and deals with the emotional toll of adventuring.
Been a while since I’ve collected my thoughts. Sometimes I like to put those things in my head out when I travel around, but there hadn’t been too much on my mind since heading out of Malkara. I still have my debts to Carson and Simon - seems like they’ll stick around for quite some time - but the burdens caused by them have been more manageable. I can take a lot on my back, and I’ve been becoming stronger as a result.
Before going I squared something up with Eurydice, the dwarf girl who got…
This is me turning the tide. Going down to low tide, showing the wet sand and other soft things beneath. Who really wants to do that though? It’s where old feet press along the path in pairs. Couples that didn’t bother leaving an interesting enough life to die in a glorious fight, or better yet, at sea. Not many young feet stamping through the old sand. I was told to try it though.
So in Malkara I’m going to try not to hurt anyone. Lots of people are here to hurt me. The town watch wants to,…
Ren arrives in Malkara and is in trouble with two beneficiaries. Trust is breached between party members.
We go home for the first time in a while after being run out from Ban-Uldud. It’s too bad. I liked Ban-Uldud and a lot of the people there. I even liked the people who hate me.
Shoreline Manor creaked and moaned when we came back in. It felt a little bit like it was saying hello to us. Jeremiah kept the place in ship-shape. It needs a lot of work and hopefully the money we earned is able to help out with that. I’m of no mind for shabby quarters but I think Dorian would like the place to be a…
Ren reflects on a night of combat in the pit at Ban-Uldud.
We’re back outside of the fortress. It’s night. A rabble of warriors and watchers alike are screaming from the walls of Ban-Uldud. I am with my family and they look a lot different now than they did before we arrived. This is to be expected.

Earlier today I was reveling and being all boisterous because I wanted to forget about Malkara. I’ll be in a very bad space when I get back and Carson is capable of doing very bad things. Since becoming part of the T.I.P, I’ve learned that problems…
