Summer campaign's done. Was a lot of fights and good pacing by the commanding unit. But we lost some good men along the way. What do we do now? Need to make ends meet and the others have plans. I'm happy to help.

The urbanite's got plans. Frilly sort, the kind that speaks haughty words and backs them with coin and not actions. Surprised me though - man's good with a bow. Will be handy. He calls himself Dorian Keene. Who says their last name more than once to a friend?

Avian's afeared by me, her name's Krissy but she wouldn't tell me this herself. Had to pry that out of Narcel'uss. It's a good name, and there's a good head on her shoulders. Hope she'll warm to me.

Don't travel with Drow too often - a rare and weird sort, not too many found by the seas. There was that one first mate on the Adriatic - can't remember his name. Wonderful lover though. Narcel'uss has got her own companion with her, not lovers though. Don't know why, won't pry into it.

Ildan's the first mate to Narcel'uss, an old sod that handles his drink like he handles his sword. Fought with and against a lot like him - deadly and predictable like the tide. I'd rather be a crashing wave.

Happy, ever so happy to travel with a halfling! She swims like the fish of the deep sea - such a graceful creature! She calls herself Vani and loves the things that dazzle all around. One day we'll dive into the swirling seas around Isard. Catch some oysters or something.

J has seen things and seems uneasy around Dorian. She has some deep power than I can just feel when looking upon her - something he lacks. I see her look around as we travel - at the trees and creatures and landscape all around. She's reading the crags and valleys on this land, but she hasn't been reading him for a while. Something's up.

Therengrad approaches - never been. Never been this far inland before. Don't know what the change in scenery will bring. Just glad to be away from Isard. For now.

Caught some creatures making some mischief today. Strong and small, like termites on those shitty galleys built in Volos. Winged though, maybe a bit bigger. And invisible. Had a time angling them in - great fun! Made a member on the field, biggest I've seen! Hope the farmers keep it.

Dorian is looking to follow through with plans. Can't see a plan two feet in front of him - like the morning mist is always covering his eyes. Plans are made to be broken. You act, that can't be broken.

Wrestled with a monstrous beast today, never seen a thing like it before. Was living under a field, picking off livestock and who knows what else. Contracted to find what happened. Got to kill it instead. Rode the thing for a bit - like going into a tempest perched up in a crow's nest. Good to be alive!

Little critters came out after. Babies. Should be relocated, I thought. They didn't choose to be there - they should have that choice. Not a popular value to have. The pompadour flew three arrows. Should've caught the first, then had him catch my steel with his pretty face. Other two were too far for me to reach. He acted - can't begrudge him for that. Fault is my own for not acting first. Won't make that mistake again. Not sure how he fired three arrows - man's quick, didn't know he was that quick. Might need to ask Krissy about using a bow.
