Dear J,
Today, I yelled at some templars. It was awesome.
I was heading up north for the last run home before winter set in. Just as we were passing through Marshburg, we were stopped by a commotion in the road. A couple of templars, all resplendent in their shiny armour, were trashing a travelling merchant's wares.
They were shouting about "graven images" and "idols to heathen gods" but really all they were doing was smashing glassware and artwork.
I thought it was a terrible abuse of a fellow businessman so I hopped over and gave them what for. I even kicked one of them in the ankle. It didn't take much to turn the crowd against them. They eventually threw some coin at Davion (that's the glass maker's name) and scuttled off. I've never seen a knight scuttle before. I'd recommend it if you get the chance.
I like to think that it was all my doing, but it was probably more that Davion had a loyal clientele in the town, also that he sort of caught fire when one of the templars reached for a sword. Regardless, it was amazing.
Davion and I are travelling together now. He's got a head for business and makes beautiful artwork. We're thinking of making a whole caravan thing. He's got a fortune teller friend in Malkara he thinks would want to join up, and there's this weird priest that's been following him around for a couple weeks that seems keen on the idea, as well.
Also, I bought a nice glass for you from Davion. I saw him make it with his eyes closed. You like green, right?
Hope you're keeping well,
- E
P.S. I picked up a sweet hat. I can't wait to show you.
