Adventure Log
The HILT rolled into the Clear Creek logging village to do a little trade. They delivered their deliveries, traded their wares, and were generally well received.
Muse was noticed as being a member of the TSR and was pulled aside by one of the local patriarchs. There had been two children taken from the fields near town while planting saplings. The forest was so dangerous that none in town felt they stood much chance mounting a rescue effort.
The HILT agreed to search for the children and set…
The members of the helpful bus were now back from their adventures with the druids and hanging around South-Westworth, charming, picturesque small town at the edge of the Brindenwoods.
Crispen was trying to enroll Muse in his triagularly structured cult, while Alonzo and Olive went to gather some herbs. The group met with Åke and decided to head West to see the Lotus eye mystic. We hear he is a mystery of a mystic, if ever a mystic there was.
Olive brought wine along to appease the mystic,…
After reaching south Westworth, we learned that Heidi and Stewart were traveling to town to get help from Alonzo Marquez. Their mother is sick with a fever and they came for help.
Meli, Olive and Tyrtaeus headed out with Heidi and Stewart to heal their mother. Traveling in their smaller caravan they avoid the leress, although there was a small incident when Tyrtaeus used his shocksichord to "fix" Stewart up after his scare of nearly being eaten.
Meanwhile, Muse stayed behind with the rest…
The battered HILT delivered the two whole eggs to Professor Robin and collected their promised fee.
The third, partially developed egg was sold to Professor of monstrobiology, Zargon Crankowitz.
Muse, who had taken to wearing the holy geode of Keres as a necklace, and brought it to the Church of the Ivory throne to see if anyone knew what it was. They did not, or claimed they knew very little, but offered to take it off her hands, and suggested selling it in Satu Mare. Muse declined for the…
Having waited for the Manticores to return to their nest, the HILT descended the cliff and snuck into their cave, while Ajax, a dwarven pirate they had rescued, guarded their ropes.
The brave monster hunters were neither particularly brave, nor experts at hunting monsters, so the battle with the mating pair of manticores was somewhat fraught.
First, the casters present were not exceptionally skilled at causing harm. They told some excellent jokes, which kept the flying lion scorpions in…
The HILT tried to ask Laerth for a blood donation. He was, however, reluctant to donate for the cause. Fighting Laerth was challenging, nearly fatal for several members of the HILT, but ultimately successful. He was slain, his blood was drained, and his remains were laid to rest.
Muse wandered off deeper into the cave system, in a very Musish fashion and discovered a magical object at the bottom of a subterranean ravine. The smaller representatives of the group climbed down to fetch it, and a…
One of Davian's local patrons, Professor Robin, had ordered a special piece of work for attuning ethereal energies. As chance would have it, that tuning fork was needed to help cure GEFF of his fatal snake bite. Unfortunately, that piece would need a special pigment made from the blood of a partially ethereal and magical creature.
One such creature was known to exist, Laerth, a wizard that had delved too deeply into ethereal secrets and was now a monstrous abomination hiding somewhere in…
The HILT finally departed Malkara and returned to their regular route, bringing them next to Isard.
The helpful bus Carried three passengers on the trek. Their previous acquaintance and caravan guard Sarah and a youthful but savvy member of the Tong. They boarded in Malkara.
The second passenger was Inquisitor Marques, a capable and experienced hunter of the monstrous and occult. He strode in out of the night halfway to Isard, and imposed himself upon the Caravan in a manner that seemed…
A flashback to a little adventure with Olive, Gene, and Åke
During a particularly snowy winter, both Olive and Gene were trapped in Malkara, unable to ply their trade on the road. They both boarded a ship to Isard in hopes of better weather and better business.
The ship was battered for days by an unnaturally strong blizard. When the weather calmed, they found that they had been transported to a frozen ocean in another plane.
They were close enough to a small island for a scouting party to venture to it. There they found a small fey named Rrreynolds…
