In my travels I haven't had a lot of time for love, but I've heard stories that dating is generally terrible. Well, fellow traveler, I'm here to tell you they're all true. 

I was very excited to attend a party, and I took the opportunity to bring a date! My hands were sweating like a frost giant in a sauna. I asked, and I was pleasantly surprised (and subsequently terrified) when she said yes! 

Okay, so it was a bit of a work event, and we did have some responsibilities while we were there, but otherwise it was a great opportunity to dress up a bit and share a fun evening with a new friend! Anyway, everything went awry, and I cannot imagine she'll be joining me on another date after the chase, near death, and near imprisonment. 

Do you think I should send her flowers?
