Monkle Joe & Sassy

Ant comes from a large extended family who run a circus that travels to the cities around the northern coast of the Lankaeran Sea. She trained as an acrobat from a young age, but her boundless energy nonetheless got her into trouble, and constant brawling with patrons (good-natured though she intended it), got her sent to stay with her uncle in her early teens. 

Looking Out

 

"Monkle Joe," as he's known to all and sundry, is a positively lovely farmer-monk who lives alone on an island a couple hours' sail from Volos; shockingly social and popular for a hermit, he has many friends among the citizenry there. He channelled Ant's energy into monk training, got her a few odd jobs through his contacts, and encouraged her move to Volos when she became an adult. She still visits and sends him clippings from The Volos Cutlass to keep him posted on the goings-on.

Notes:

• Ant will fight anyone and also befriend anyone (preferably both). 
• She yells "Death from above!" when dropping on unsuspecting victims (to warn them!)
• She has and treasures a nearly-complete collection of trading cards for the Rangers which she stores in a shoebox, entirely unorganized. She considers herself a big fan.
• She made friends with Cypher by accidentally breaking into the museum, but then coming back to the museum another day
• She made friends with Beurque by leaping on him from above, taking him to the Half Pint to apologize with a pint and a brawl, and now they frequentA concertina (not an accordion) Volos' fighting scene, The Truth In Stone, together
• She made friends with Kelis by delivering Monkle Joe's sweet potatoes to the Taterforge for a special dish a few times. She was won over by Kelis' Mom Vibes.
• Carries a short sword named Princess Stabby
• Surprisingly good at the concertina
