Stelar’s reflections on reawakening:

We waited under the weight of his failures; unable to mark the time, half asleep adrift in our nightmares. Mostly we remember the dark after the pain of the Master’s punishments. We were only trying to be kind to another trapped creature. He made us, trapped us, and punished us for our disobedience. We were simply waiting for him to destroy us and release us into final oblivion.
