Battle Bath and Beyond is a combination combat school, bath house, and tobacconist started by the Obsidian Panther adventuring company. It was constructed by four wizards with wildly different backgrounds that didn't agree on anything before they started. It has stately marble columns, sturdy limestone parapets, and elegant minarets of painted alabaster. It is decorated with bronze sculptures of monsters rendered in terrifying detail, vibrant frescoes of calm woodland scenes, and absurdly intricate tile mosaics of geometric patterns. 

In a review by a travelling scholar, it was describe as "a visual cacophony. Much better enjoyed blindfolded."

As professional adventurers, the founders rarely visit. It is currently staffed by the a child of two of the Obsidian Panthers, Mauritius, and a retired witch from the university, Penelope.

The combat school is not highly regarded, though the fame of the founders draws frequent challengers to duel the master. The current master, Mauritius, is not very skilled and has a reputation mostly for still being alive after the number of duels he has lost. The students of the school are entirely local children mostly ages three to seven. Its actual function is closer to that of a daycare than a school of battle.

The bath house is a rare luxury on the frontier and is popular with both locals and travelers. It boasts hot, clean water, a large public bath, and two smaller private baths. 

The tobacconist is known for the quality of its product, though it struggles as a viable business due to Penelope's exacting standards for their product, which does not grow natively.
